Gathering begins at 8:00AM at: Fort Washington Heights Presbyterian Church 21 Wadsworth Avenue, Washington Heights, NY (Corner of 174 Street)

Opening Ceremony begins at 9:00AM

Marching Begins at 10 AM Sharp

First Leg

Second Leg After 5 minute water break and regrouping in the park

The Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz, Jr. will welcome the marchers and the families of the victims, and will hold a press conference followed by a lunch break (This stop will take approximately 40 minutes)

Marching Resumes at 12Noon Sharp!

Third Leg

Fourth Leg After 5 minute water break and regrouping at 129 Street

Fifth Leg Water break, regrouping and possible brief program

Marching Resumes at 1:30pm Sharp!

Total estimated miles: 6.7

The 2009 Brides’ March will end at: The Children’s Aid Society’s East Harlem Community Center—130 East 101 Street between Lexington and Park Avenue.

The Community Center’s doors will open at 1pm and the marchers are expected to arrive at approximately 2pm. The closing ceremony will begin at approximately 3pm and concludes at approximately 4pm

Disclosure: March will not walk against traffic; marchers must abide by street traffic rules and walk on the sidewalk at all times—unless otherwise indicated by NYPD. Please read the Disclosure page at www.BridesMarch.com before participating in the March. Groups intending on cheering the March on or joining us along the route, please inform us ASAP BridesMarch@aol.com to alert the NYPD and the media.
